Another eight influenza A (H1N1) deaths were reported today, bringing the total number of fatalities in Malaysia to 26.
The first death related to the A(H1N1) virus was reported on 23 July, 2009
"If no intervention steps are taken, it is projected at least 20 per cent or 5.5 million of Malaysia population will be affected by the (H1N1) virus.”
Number of Deaths from H1N1 Raises to 81 in Thailand
Sixteen more people died of Influenza A(H1N1) in Thailand in the past one week, raising the total number of deaths from the disease to 81.
