The A (H1N1) influenza Is A Serious Threat - 18th death In Malaysia



KUALA LUMPUR: The A (H1N1) influenza is a serious health threat and people should take precautions against the disease, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The Prime Minister advised people not to hold public gatherings or functions unless it is necessary as such events could raise the risk of spreading the virus.

Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, semalam berkata, Influenza A (H1N1) menjadi ancaman serius dan menasihati orang ramai supaya menjauhkan diri daripada menghadiri acara yang tidak perlu yang membabitkan ramai orang.

Setakat ini, katanya, angka kematian meningkat kepada 18 dengan tiga lagi kematian dilaporkan sementara bilangan kes yang disahkan positif mencecah 1,578 kes.


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has reported three more deaths related to Influenza A (H1N1), taking the total number of fatalities to 18.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said Saturday that aside from the deaths, 53 new cases were reported throughout the country.

“The situation very serious. We need the public to cooperate with the authorities to stop the spread of the virus. We can do it if we cooperate,” he said
